After a quick Refit, the Brum was called to action in June 1982, setting sail for the journey south to the Falkland Islands on 17th June. The mood on board was sombre,as many of the crew had lost shipmates already in the conflict,but moral was high. The ship was made ready,and with markings painted out,fridges and freezers to the brim,and stores( especially the Naafi )were packed to capacity. we were now ready for what lay ahead.
